Copyright © reMusik.orgWolfgang Delnui was born in Aachen (Germany) in 1977. He studied eurhythmics at the “Institut de Rythmique Jaques-Dalcroze“ in Brussels. He then studied composition with Robert HP Platz at the „Conservatorium Maastricht“ (Netherlands). Delnui finished his postgraduate studies in composition in 2009. He also followed an electronic music course at the “Centre de Recherche et de Formation musicales de Wallonie“ (Liège, Belgium). He received several grants and scholarships from the cultural department of the Ministry of the German-speaking Community of Belgium and “Centre Henri Pousseur” (Liège, Belgium). His works have been performed in several countries and festivals such as “Gaudeamus Music Week“ (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), “Ostbelgienfestival“ (Eupen, Belgium), “XXVII Enscontre Internacional de Compositores Illes Balears“ (Mallorca, Spain), and by ensembles and performers such as Mdi Ensemble, Ensemble ’88, Ensemble der Robert-Schumann-Musikhochschule, Rüdiger Bohn, Angélique van Duurling, David Nunez, Benjamin Dieltjens, Shuann Chai, Yannis Katirtzoglou, Nohad Becker, Jannie Pranger, Tina Fischer, Chantal Bohets, Guido De Neve, Paul Pankert, Anne Davids, Marino Formenti, Lorelei Dowling, Krassimir Sterev and Robert HP Platz. The scores of two of his works are published by “Muziek Centrum Nederland” (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). In 2004 his work “Looptonenen“ was awarded the fourth Flutonicon Composition Prize. He is also active as a teacher. Since 2002 he has been teaching music, and currently works at “Musikakademie der Deutschsprachigen Gemeinschaft Belgiens” (Eupen, Belgium). In 2005 he started teaching eurhythmics at the “Académie René Defossez” (Spa, Belgium). Wolfgang Delnui is a guest composer at the Sixth Annual International New Music Festival “The Time of Music: Fin de siècle” hosted by “reMusik.org” in Saint-Petersburg. |
