“Sergei Slonimsky and his disciples”

On March 1, 2013 in the Glazunov Hall a Symphony concert of contemporary music will be held, "Sergei Slonimsky and his disciples." During the concert a fragment from the ballet "The Magic Nut" written by Slonimsky will be presented as well as the music of his followers-composers who comprise several generations of disciples.

CONTEMPORARY SWISS MUSIC

The past few decades can be called an epoch of new identity and self-understanding in Swiss musical culture. Previously dogmatic thinking in composition schools gave way to an individual approach, emphasizing cultural interaction and curiousity over rigidity and skepticism.

Ensemble Recherche

The XIII International Winter Festival “Arts Square”, to be held in December 2012. On 16th December 2012, the ENSEMBLE RECHERCHE (Germany) will present a concert, dedicated to the works of 20th and 21st century composers. The event will be held in the Glinka Hall of the St. Petersburg State Philharmonic.
